the guide to basic colour nails

morning bloggers! apologies for the lack of posts recently! busy times.
i hope all of you are enjoying the sunshine!

with summer arriving i always enjoy spending time to do my nails.
unfortunately me being me i am a perfectionist and usually spend hours where others only spend minutes applying the all important..base coat..yes it does take me HOURS just to complete one hand. however the finished product is worth it. during the next month or so i shall be showing you some ideas for nail painting!
GUIDE TO BASIC COLOUR NAILS.

1) remove any previous nail varnish from your fingers
i personally recommend getting an instant nail polish dip and twist remover. I just find it quick and simple.

2)cut any skins and file your nails till you are happy with them then wash your hands to soften them up again.

3)apply your base coat and wait around 2 minutes for it to dry.

4) choose the colour you wish to have and then paint it on be careful as to not touch your nails for the next 5-6 minutes.

5)then apply top coat and wait 2 more minutes.

finito!

how to wear a white dress

morning all!

during summer i like sticking to light pastels, creams or whites just to keep that fresh, sweet look going. white dresses are fantastic! you can wear them at any time for any occasion (besides cleaning the car!) but they can be a tad 'boring' *yawn* if you dont..accessorize (great word!)

first of all it's all about the hair:
you can take the easy option out and just sling it up in a pony tail..but..i think this will make it look like you really can't be bothered and at least if you have decided to tie it up add some curls beforehand and then tie it up, this way you will make your hair instantly much more interesting!

or if you have more time you can go for having down..if you have it down i recommend avoiding straightening it, this is because you may risk looking washed out. try curling it or french platting the side of it or even twisting it.

then comes the make-up:
with a white dress you either need to make a statement or go for a subtle look.
statement- golden eyeshadow with a dark red lipstick (dab away after applying) mascara and blusher
subtle- light pink lipstick (dab away after applying) sparkly eyeshadow (cream would be great) mascara and light blusher.

then shoes:
i recommend red or black shoes if you have chosen 'statement' and pale pink or cream shoes if you've gone for 'subtle'

and finally jewellery..
statement- would have to be a red heart ring or a diamond ring, something big and colourful (try and stick with the colour of your shoes or your lipstick to co-ordinate, you dont want to look like a clown!)
subtle- would be dusky lilacs, pinks, i recommend a ring or a bracelet
for both- paint your nails a grey to add a sophisticated look and a clean finish.

Big love for the pink hair.

one of my big loves at the moment is pink hair..dont you just love it?

i don't know about you but when i'm walking down the street and i see a full head of candy floss coloured hair i feel myself turning into the green monster..(not the prettiest look i must say).
it doesn't even need to be candy floss coloured there's hot pink, pink hair with a tint of peach, baby pink and obviously candy floss pink..they're all to die for..

Katy perry has gone for HOT PINK
i admire her for taking such a big risk...but the risk suits her SO much!

Ellie Goulding has gone for PINK hair with a PEACHY tint to it
(one of my personal favourites!)
