how to wear a white dress

morning all!

during summer i like sticking to light pastels, creams or whites just to keep that fresh, sweet look going. white dresses are fantastic! you can wear them at any time for any occasion (besides cleaning the car!) but they can be a tad 'boring' *yawn* if you dont..accessorize (great word!)

first of all it's all about the hair:
you can take the easy option out and just sling it up in a pony tail..but..i think this will make it look like you really can't be bothered and at least if you have decided to tie it up add some curls beforehand and then tie it up, this way you will make your hair instantly much more interesting!

or if you have more time you can go for having down..if you have it down i recommend avoiding straightening it, this is because you may risk looking washed out. try curling it or french platting the side of it or even twisting it.

then comes the make-up:
with a white dress you either need to make a statement or go for a subtle look.
statement- golden eyeshadow with a dark red lipstick (dab away after applying) mascara and blusher
subtle- light pink lipstick (dab away after applying) sparkly eyeshadow (cream would be great) mascara and light blusher.

then shoes:
i recommend red or black shoes if you have chosen 'statement' and pale pink or cream shoes if you've gone for 'subtle'

and finally jewellery..
statement- would have to be a red heart ring or a diamond ring, something big and colourful (try and stick with the colour of your shoes or your lipstick to co-ordinate, you dont want to look like a clown!)
subtle- would be dusky lilacs, pinks, i recommend a ring or a bracelet
for both- paint your nails a grey to add a sophisticated look and a clean finish.
lots of love missbriff xox
